With an extensive background in fashion and textiles, I have had a creative flair for as long as I can remember. Looking back, I have such fond memories from my childhood of pressing flowers in an old book with my Grandma. I remember how excited I’d feel to see the finished result. Over twenty years later, I still get the buzz of how beautiful preserved flowers can look.
In 2021, my two best friends had their weddings and I had a desire to create something special for them to mark their unforgettable days. Some months later, I preserved my own wedding bouquet which I have proudly displayed in my home. It feels as though I have bottled the joyous feelings I felt on my wedding day and I have instant happiness when I catch a glimpse of my frame every day. I was inspired to put my passion and love of preserving flowers into Oh My Petals to help others capture their significant memory!

About The Floral Preservation Process
At Oh My Petals, we know how important it is to preserve the beauty and emotion of your special day. That’s why we offer a free consultation ahead of your floral preservation booking.
This is a great opportunity to:

- Ask questions about the process
Once you’ve completed our enquiry form, paid your deposit, and signed the agreement, you’ll receive a step-by-step packaging guide on how to safely send or deliver your flowers to us.
Spaces are limited, so we recommend securing your date early—especially during peak wedding season.
Celebrate love and soak up every magical moment… Your flowers are there to be enjoyed!
To help preserve your bouquet for framing, we recommend keeping the stems in fresh water whenever they’re not being used throughout the day. (This is a great job for your wedding planner or bridesmaids to take care of!)
Thinking about a traditional bouquet toss? You absolutely still can! We suggest using a bridesmaid’s bouquet or requesting an extra bouquet from your florist—this way, your main arrangement stays picture-perfect for preservation.
To ensure the best preservation results, your flowers must be sent by post on the agreed date, typically 1–2 days after your event. We’ll confirm this with you during your consultation or booking process.
Alternatively, you’re welcome to personally drop off your bouquet at the Oh My Petals home studio in Hertford, Hertfordshire—just let us know in advance so we can arrange a suitable time.
After your booking is confirmed, we’ll provide you with a detailed packaging guide to help you send your flowers safely and securely.
Once your flowers arrive safely at Oh My Petals, we’ll send you a confirmation email to let you know they’re in our care.
We begin the preservation process promptly to capture their beauty and ensure the best possible results, treating each petal with the utmost care.
Preservation & framing
Your precious petals will be carefully dried and artfully arranged in your bespoke frame.
The entire process typically takes 8 to 14 weeks, ensuring each detail is perfect and your keepsake is truly timeless.
When your frame is complete, we’ll send you an email update. Once the final balance is settled, your frame will be ready for collection or delivery.
Please be sure to confirm your preferred collection date with us in advance to ensure a smooth handover.
