FAQ - Oh My Petals

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, especially in busy summer months availability is limited so it is advised to secure date asap to avoid disappointment.

I would love to do the tradition of ‘Throwing the bouquet’ is this possible if wanting to preserve my bouquet?

Yes and No! If you wish to have your bouquet preserved do not to throw your bouquet to avoid any damage. This doesn’t mean you can’t partake in this fun tradition, you can either throw one of the bridesmaids bouquets or ask your florist to create a smaller bouquet.

When and how do I send my flowers?

The bouquet can be dropped off at my home studio in Hertford, Hertfordshire alternatively the bouquet can be sent via post – Royal Mail Next Day Delivery by 1pm. It is advised for flowers to be sent 1-2 day after wedding or event for best drying results.

Once your order is confirmed, clear packaging instructions will be advised.

Can I get someone else to drop my bouquet off after my wedding?

Yes, after confirming date and time the bouquet can be dropped off to Oh My Petals home studio in Hertford.

How long will it take?

Preservation and framing process will take approx. 10 weeks. During this time you will receive updates on how your frame is coming along.

How much is it to have my frame preserved?

Frame prices start from £250, all pricing information can be found on the ‘Design & Pricing’ section of the website. Prices are excluding the cost to send bouquet to Oh My Petals ( If applicable ) and frame shipment cost ( if applicable ).

Can I personalise frame by adding photos/family charms?

Yes of course, I’m happy to work with you to create a frame that you will love and suit your home!

What happens to flowers in preservation and framing process?

We use top quality chemicals during the preservation process which extract the moisture from the flowers. After the preservation process flowers will remain 3D however shape and colours may change from original form. The option to add a colour treatment to your bouquet is available on request.

All flowers are carefully glued and wired in place in arrangement style of your choice. Over the years, you may see some fading but your flowers should remain in place. We advise to keep your frame out of direct sunlight and away from any damp, hot or humid conditions so be sure to keep them in cool areas away from windows.

Once preserved and framed how long do flowers last for?

You may see colours fade over time but there’s be no reason why your preserved bouquet won’t last forever however it is a natural product so there is no guarantee.
