During the preservation process, moisture is extracted from your flowers drying each individual petal. We will strive to maintain the shape, form and colour of your flowers as much as possible but due to the nature of the drying process you may see some changes to the appearance of your flowers from your wedding day. Petals will lose their fresh look and transform to a beautiful matt/vintage look.
Please note that certain flowers like Daffodils, Crocuses, Irises, Tulips, Lilies, anthuriums, large chrysanthemum and succulents and other flowers with high moisture in the petals may not dry well. If so, they might have to be removed from your bouquet depending on the drying results. Sunflowers and gerbera daisies may also lose their petals during the drying process but Oh My Petals will do our best to preserve them intact for your frame.
We promise to preserve your flowers beautifully but if for some reason they do not preserved well we will contact you immediately for a consultation.
When creating your bespoke flower frame, photographs of your beautiful flowers will be followed however there will be an element of artistic interpretation of your bouquet and not all of your flowers may be used.
Every frame is handmade, glue and wires will be used to hold your flowers in place, we promise to make them as hidden as possible.
Is it your responsibility to confirm what style of frame/frame option you wish to proceed with ahead of securing flowers to the frame. Once style/option of frame is chosen, it will not be possible to change.
The flower preservation process can take up to 14 weeks, during peak wedding season this may be slightly longer.
You will receive regularly updates during the preservation process on when order will be ready for collection/sending.
After the drying process colours can change and deepen that is the beauty of the process. The amount to which your flowers change will depend on the age and condition of the flowers when we receive them. Flowers to be delivered promptly after your wedding to ensure the best colour results.
Whites flowers will transition to a cream, off white/yellow colour. Reds will deepen to dark burgundy, pink will deepen, pastel pinks will transition to grey pink tones, blues to purple, oranges can deepen with a brown hue depending on shade.
